As many of you may know, I’m now in my second year of beekeeping. I am continually amazed and enthralled with honey bees, so much so, I applied and have been accepted to the UC Davis, California Master Beekeeping Program! I start August 2017.
This program uses science-based information to educate stewards and ambassadors for honey bees and beekeeping. As part of the program, I’ll be taking classes, actively involved in community outreach and education, as well as mentoring.
All donations will help me to offset tuition and cost associated with the program, educational materials and an observation hive for demonstrations.
Bees today are struggling due to many contributing factors. With your support I plan to educate the community on ways to help and mentor new beekeepers in good animal husbandry. After all...it’s all about community stewardship!
