Sandilands Tram victims
As you are probably aware by now yesterdays events have left families devestated by the loss of loved ones.
Many of those who were on the 6am tram from New Addington on that fateful wednesday mornig have suffered life changing or threatning injuries whilst others have saddly lost their lives.
Many families have been left to pick up the pieces of what are now shattered lives and to deal with all the trauma and emotions that comes with being in such a horrific accident such as the one on wednesday morning.
These families will need emotional help which they will get from doctors and loved ones, but they will also need financial help to cope. We want to raise money for the families of those who have lost a loved one or who's loved one has been seriously injured in the accident and is therefore not able to work and support their familiy financially.
Everyone will talk of compensation, but that will take a long time to be sorted and these families have been through enough without having to worry about paying bills or feeding their families.
My husband was in the tram when it derailed but luckily hes survived with minor injuries, others were not so lucky and will take them a lot longer to recover.
Because we know as a family how lucky we have been we also know how important it is to help others cope and heal from their ordeal and try to help them piece their lives back together.
Every little helps so please donate whatever you can afford.
Forever thankfull. xx
Their donation was made to the official Croydon giving page, but we are now all linked and all monies raised are being pooled together to reach our mutual goal of helping the families most affected by the tram accident. Thank you all for you help. A special Thanks to Amy and James xx
Feeling very useless :(
Thank you for your continued help and support, we are truly grateful for everyone's support.
I gave an interview this morning to LBC radio so that we could promote our cause and this page a bit further.
As someone has pointed out, we should already be raising million, but yet we are still in the hundred (not to say we are not grateful all the same, every bit helps)
I would like to point out that this is a solo mission and i am doing it all on my own, i agree to interviews in exchange for donations or promotion of the page (i don't do it for personal gain as some might think) I am happy to do it and knock on as many door as it takes to get the support needed and indeed raise the funds, however I am limited on time and mental capacity to process everything. however having said that, if anyone has any ideas of how to further our campaign and who's door we can knock at, please feel free to share your ideas with me.
Again a BIG thank you to everyone and sending you all lots of love. xxx
Sorry it will not let me reply to any ones comments separately.
The reason i set up this page is because i genuinely want to help the bereaved families and all those who have been seriously affected by the loss of limbs and mobility.
My partner was i mentioned before was a passenger on that tram but luckily he survived and is more or less intact (at least physically, emotionally he is not so well).
His name is Rui de Sa and the advertiser interviewed him today, they also interviewed me regarding this page (susana Gaiao, but misspelt my name so it appears as Susana Gaia)
please feel free to mention us to them or indeed sky new who also interviewed my partner.
I wish you all the luck in the world in your mission to set up a page and get backing, i know it takes time but we are slowly getting funds sent through. It means a lot to us that people are showing they care.
If you need anything else please feel free to ask.
Thank you Susanna we are on the same page, and we need to get you officially endorsed , give your fund a name and extenuate on how the funding will work , and who will over see it, I will do my Best to get you some face time on TV , via the News , Maybe in Conjuntion with an MP or TFL official. Its a sad World we live in as so many do not trust, you will have to accept this.I am Surprised the Croydon Advertiser has not realised what I written to you and helped you go Public with your Fund. Please feel free to message me directly to my message box on My Facebook Page in the Future. With the correct process this fund should have raised ! million already, and this is why it needs a board, and an auditor .. please keep me informed x
HI well done for sorting this out so quickly, I am so glad your Husband is uninjured.I tried yesterday to also set up a fund Titled, ``Fund d=for the Orphans of the Croydon tram crash``, in conjunction with Croydon Council and Sky News whom I invited to to help liase with Croydon Council to open a website for donating to the victims and their families... I am also visiting Croydon Advertiser tomorrow, I commend you for what you are doing. Do you have any objection to identifying your name to me ? I would like to mention you and your Husband at my meeting with the Croydon Advertiser tomorrow morning .Best wishes Mark. Triance
This isnt a con Alex I can understand where you are coming from but please dont write this sort of thing with prove. I know 100% that this isnt and susanna is doing this out of goodness, her husband was on that tram and i know 3 people in total that was on there. Please dont put people off this is a lovely thing to do and if it helps any of the families even i tiny bit then good comes from it. Susanna keep up the good work. God bless you xx
Hi, would you mind telling me how you intend to distribute these funds? Do you have all of the victims details? How did you obtain them? Could there be the remotest chance that you are a con artist, cruelly taking advantage of people's compassion and goodwill to line your own pocket? Please, people do NOT DONATE. This is a scam. Think about the logistics of getting the cash to the people. It's impossible. You are lining a scumbag's pocket. Do not do it.
