Samuel Miller’s battle with Leukemia

Hellos friends & family! In late January a 12-year-old boy at church was suddenly diagnosed with Leukemia. We miss him & his family terribly at church but know Samuel is right where he needs to be. The cost of treatment & his mother’s inability to work during this time makes any donation a HUGE blessing to this family of six children. Please share this to spread the awareness of an incredible boy & his amazing family.
Samuel’s mother, Katie, had this to say:
“In late January our son, Samuel Miller, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. He was immediately transferred to St Jude Children’s Hospital in Memphis. We will be staying in Memphis with him for the next eight weeks, and possibly another additional eight weeks depending on his test results. His total treatment time is two and a half years.
Samuel is a great kid with a contagious smile and a quick wit. He helps run our family’s Farmers Market booth in our hometown. He’s used to being outdoors and interacting with a lot of people, so this has been a major lifestyle change for him.
We are very grateful for the prayers and support we have received and we thank God for our amazing church family at St. Thomas the Apostle Orthodox Church in Springfield.” -Katie Miller
Samuel & his family have been waiting the last two weeks for his white blood cell counts to recover so he can start the next round of chemo. There isn’t anything they can do to raise them, so please pray that God will touch him & that his bone marrow will begin working again!! Anything given is SUCH a gift for this family and will be put to such good use. If you can’t give at this time, please, please pray for this family. We love you so much Samuel!
