Sam's Bucket List

Donation protected
The photo on this page is my big sister Anna and her family. I guess in this photo they look like any normal happy family.... If only that was the case....

Life can be so unfair and cruel.....

Sam, the baby of the family who is now 4 years old, is the most bravest little boy I know. Diagnosed as having a brain tumour not long after his second birthday he has now spent over half his life fighting a battle, a battle that no one should ever have to fight let alone an innocent little boy. He is such a little character though and for everything he's been through, being put to sleep under general anaesthetic more than 40 times, you just wouldn't think this when you speak to him, so full of life and so comical...

It's been such a rollercoaster for all the family, with receiving the best news in November last year that the radiotherapy had worked, the tumour had died, something we didn't think ever possible due to his type of tumour. Back then it was a grade 2 astrocytoma, a star shaped tumour that embeds in the brain. We couldn't believe it, it was a miracle.... So on the 1st December Sam underwent hours of brain surgery to remove the tumour... They removed 99.5%......
Christmas Day was amazing, still the thought about the 0.5% in the back of our minds but it was the best Christmas since we first found out about 'Sams naughty bean'.
Then the biopsy results came back in the new year and it wasn't good... The clear line around the tumour did not mean the tumour has died, but in fact it was active.

We have now just received the worst news ever in our entire lives.... Sam had an MRI in February. The tumour has now grown back more than half the size of the one they removed and it's changed form too. It's now a grade 4 tumour known as a Glioblastoma, he's sadly terminal. There's nothing more the NHS can do for my amazing little nephew.

I have set up this fund me page so Sam can experience as much as possible and so that his mum, dad, brothers and sister have those very special loving lasting memories to treasure forever.

I've spoken to Sam's dad, there's a few things he would really like them all do. A mini cruise with all the family, a father and son fishing trip, a ride on a pirate ship, many family days out.

It breaks my heart writing all of this and knowing what the future will now bring, but at least I can make a difference, at least with your support we can all make a difference.

I want to be able to arrange as much as I can, so they can just enjoy Sam and enjoy the time they have with him.

Thank you for reading.
