On weekend of 6th April, Samartha was playing in the Rockhampton Local league competition for Emu Park Women's. Unfortunately in a tackle gone wrong Samartha has sustained significant injury with fractures to various vertebrae and compressed discs.
Samartha has also played for QLD and Indigenous All stars.
As a mother of 5 , Samartha will have a long recovery and will require both medical and financial assistance.
This Go Fund me page has been set up by Emu Park Rugby League to allow our community to help support Samartha and her children.
Emu Park Rugby League will also be holding fundraising events to help raise much needed funds.
