Sam Ewen Leukemia Treatment Fund

Samuel Ewen had to drop out of Bible college this past Thanksgiving after he came home looking and feeling sick, visited the doctor, and was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Sam is 22, the middle of three sons of Stephen and Rebecca Ewen of Deerbrook, WI.

Currently Sam is one-third into his 70-day second course of treatment. He still has a long road ahead, almost three years of treatment. This second course is the toughest so far. He feels pretty much horrible on most days, and has lost his hair.

His father writes:
Yesterday, I overheard Sam read the entire first chapter of John, with intermittent explanations, over the phone to a friend he's hoping to reach. His overall attitude toward what he's going through is well summed up in something he re-emphasized to me a few days ago: "Dad, when I first heard I had cancer, I almost laughed aloud as I thought, 'Okay, God, what are You up to?' "

Sam's father Stephen is a software developer, and their finances are taking a "severely serious hit." It's a long and costly road for the whole family to see Sam back on his feet and moving forward with his life. Your gift can help them get there successfully with less of a financial burden.
