Salminen House Fire Relief fund

Donation protected
At 3:30am, Tuesday August 13, 2019, just 2 days after a severe storm hailed in Billings and surrounding areas, this family house was filled with eight people where everyone was asleep. Mom, April, heard a loud pop and jolted down the hallway seeing the flames through the second story bathroom window. The entire extended family all worked together to get everyone awake, gather the pets, and evacuate. The extended family; Shane (dad), April, Colton, Paolo, Lillian, Jacoby (brothers and sister), and cousins Caleb and Sawyer all stood outside and barefoot in their PJs.

As Shane tried to contain the flames on the garage, Caleb noticed that the fire was a result of a downed power line that caused an electrical spark. To prevent injury, they stopped the hose and waited for emergency response to arrive.

Now the last week before school, this family is looking for a rental while they await the long and arduous process of the insurance claims to rebuild the house, replace clothing, shoes, school supplies, and obtaining sports gear for the upcoming football, soccer, and wrestling seasons.  This family has been involved in the community for many years with Shane coaching many sports for his oldest boys Vince and Paolo, and now refereeing around the country for USA Wrestling.

Please consider donating to this fund to help support immediate costs to get these kids the things they need for school and their extracurricular activities.

They'd also gladly accept donated items. PM for information on where to send/drop off these items.
