Salado VFD Heavy Rescue fund
of $150,000 goal
Raised by 27 people in 40 months
Salado Volunteer Fire Department lost its prime rescue truck this morning when a volunteer was responding to a motor vehicle accident at about midnight last night (March 30). While en route the driver noticed smoke filling inside of the cab. The driver was able to pull over and escape the apparatus and call for help before the cab became fully involved. Fortunately, SVFD was able to get the rescue equipment off of the truck and there were no injuries to SVFD personnel.
