Teens are being abandoned , living in shelters or on the streets for questioning gender or openly identifying as transgender .
Recently we were faced with our child confronting the truth about being transgender. We chose to honor the real individual. The change in all of us and the freedom of spirit has been life changing.
Our child is grateful to have a loving family that is supportive and willing to be open. The support and strength is now needed for teens who have not experienced acceptance in their family.
Our transgender child wants to help others who struggle and need a family home. Safe harbor is a family home devoted to give love and support to transgender teens.
This is not a government program or nonprofit organization but a real home. Money is needed to add a bathroom, take space to create bedrooms and add cabinets to the kitchen. The labor is provided by us and friends of the community. Please help us provide Safe Harbor to transgender teens.
