We need your support.
Every day, the Sexual Assault / Domestic Violence Center keeps your community safer. Over the last year, SADVC assisted 392 adults and children, including many victims of sexual assault. SADVC sheltered 118 adults and children, members of our community who were escaping violence in their own homes. SADVC answered over 1,400 crisis and referral calls, not just in Reno County, but also in Harper, Kingman, and Rice counties. Our advocates provided 24/7 face-to-face support, helping women, men, and children in crisis. At the same time, we supported over 50 families who needed support and supervision during difficult times through our child visitation and exchange center.
SADVC services are life-changing and life-transforming. They impact both the people who receive them as well as the communities at large. Like tossing a stone in a pool of water, lives are influenced as the waves of positive change ripple out across the community. SADVC makes our community safer; makes it a better place to live; and, saves and changes lives.
Today, I am asking for your help in keeping these services in our community. Over the last two years, SADVC has experienced significant transition in funding, leadership, staffing, and board membership. Many of these changes were needed in order to strengthen the organization and improve the services we provide, and I am confident that these transitions will make SADVC stronger in the end. I ask for your financial support of SADVC to assist us during this time of transition and revitalization. We are on a solid path forward, but we need your support and donations NOW. Our budget is relatively small so every dollar we bring in goes toward keeping the doors open.
