What: The band, founded in 2014, has delivered three albums and gone through many more lineup changes but is now poised to deliver its biggest release to date -- "Metropolitan."
The Project: Now consistenting of only one regular member, co-founder Nick Margiasso, the Atlanta-based collective has taken its penchant for catchy yet insightful tunes and pushed the envelope forward to the tune of an electronic singer-songwriter based approach that incorporates the intrinsic lyrical/vocal delivery that was the group's trademark and now adds a fuel for musical exploration and mystery provided by weaving synths, samples and sounds to move the body and inspire the mind. Not to be held down by the musical realm only, the "Metropolitan" project is also a visual endeavor inspired by the geography, language and people that move Nick Margiasso, Sabbatical Year and the world that is ours ... one that is a world of music.
How To Be A Part: "Metropolitan" will result in an album, a video documentary and a photo collection, the creative process has just begun but will need you to get involved to help reach the finish line. Nick Margiasso and Sabbatical Year look to repay the love you can hopefully show with a creation that will brighten the worlds of audio and visual -- along with a little bit of your side of the world via "Metropolitan."
