Mattison L. Haywood "LoveisKey"

Mattison Haywood was a beautiful young christian woman. A giver of her time and money to the under-served, homeless and the less fortunate folks in any community where she lived. She was a confidant, good friend who was full of love and inspiration. After receiving her degree in Biology at Concordia University in Irvine; and aspiring to other various philanthropic jobs, she later became a post graduate student at Charles Drew University of Medicine and Science to become a doctor in the area of gynecology and pediatrics.
She was in love with a great guy Michael Myvett who proposed to her at the Louvre in Paris, France in December 2013 and had reserved her wedding chapel in Palos Verdes, Ca. overlooking the Pacific Ocean for June 15, 2015. She was preparing to take the MCAT exam to become a candidate for the UCLA pre-med program.
Her life was cut short on April 10, 2014 engaging in the very thing she enjoyed, taking time off from her job at One West bank assisting in chaperoning students from under-served and low socioeconomic communities on a visit to Humboldt State University (a school she once attended) to assist in helping them realize their own dreams of success.
She was just shy of her 26th birthday which is on July 6.
It is our intention to create this “LoveisKey” Foundation, a non-profit foundation in Mattison's memory for everything she stood for in this life...her moniker "love is Key" will be a part of the name of this foundation dedicated to the principles she always demonstrated to others.
Her passion for God was demonstrated in her desire to give of herself whenever called upon. She was a leader, an encourager, a loving friend, a loving daughter to John and Carla, a loving fiancée to Michael a loving auntie to Wesley, Lukas, Kalea and Jordan and an awesome and loving sister to her sister Tre’monisha (Jason) and her brother Johnathon (Tealah). It is our endeavor to fund these "Tax Deductible" Endowments with fundraising from this site in memory of Mattison.
