Almost a year has passed since hurricane Maria hit Puerto Rico and yet, life is still far from normal for most people living on the island. The situation today, in some areas, is as dire as it was back in October 2017. As a result, there are still people unable to return to their homes, and thousands of Puerto Ricans have been forced to leave everything behind and move to the U.S. mainland.
