Mission PAWS-ible HELPS others get D.A.D.’s

FAST FORWARD: Mission PAWS-ible helps families who wish to have a trained D.A.D. (Diabetic Alert Dog). Our story and mission began with my daughter, Rylee was diagnosed 11/27/16 as a type 1 diabetic. We recently were able to get her a trained, medically necessary alert dog. It has changed her life and ours. People have more than generously given to allow us to be able to afford this for her medically. We now want to help other families achieve the same thing!!!!! (archived) REWIND: OUR INITIAL MISSION WAS TO GET MY DAUGHTER A DIABETIC ALERT DOG (D.A.D.) What you’re about to read is our story and what we put out there in order to raise the money needed to achieve this Mama’s goal! Rylee is a trooper and the strongest child I know. She is currently 14 years old & BayLee (age 11 months) is becoming a faithful companion! I have to be (and hopefully with development it won’t be as much) hover mom. I am currently out of work on an unpaid leave of absence to care for her. Currently (still for 1.4 years) I’m on FMLA. God is providing what we need. In an effort to see her gain some more independence I believed (still do!) and felt that having a well-trained diabetic alert dog would help her tremendously.  Currently and as always we have insurance, however training a service dog once purchased meant potentially an additional $10,000.00-$15,000.00 that we did not have. We asked people reading our story to pray about it and asked if they felt led to give to our cause that we’d be forever grateful to them and their family. There was not an amount too big or too small in our eyes. Most days she puts on her strong suit because she has to be strong! She’s a fighter to say the very least. Each day is a battle. She’s very involved in softball and loves her friends! You helped us to achieve this goal. She appeared normal and happy on the outside, however, she was quite the opposite on the inside-she was hurting. Matthew 7:7-We simply asked... Sincerely, God Bless!
