Ryans Trip of a Life Time!

Donation protected
Hello,

I am Ryan’s eldest sister, Jess and I need your help.

Ryan had been living in supported living with 24-hour care for 5yrs and was doing extremely well up to about 6 months ago. Ryan had spontaneous epilepsy and was on the autistic spectrum. Ryan would seizure daily and would often need emergency medication to bring him out of the seizure and save his life. At several points of Ryan’s life, he was having over 40 seizures a day.

Despite how Ryan felt, ached or how tired he was, Ryan always would have the biggest smile and the tightest hug for you.

All Ryan wanted to be was a “normal boy” and struggled throughout his life with establishing true friends, but the thing he wanted most of all was a girlfriend. Finally, Ryan got that the last year of his life when he met the most beautiful girl and she agreed to be his girlfriend. I have never seen Ryan happier than when she said yes. They idealised one another. They even spoke about marriage and children.

On Monday 26th of October at 05:38am, Ryan died.

Ryan did not want to leave us but he was unable to win his last fight. However, there is no other individual, that I have ever met, that would of fought daily for 22 years straight and still be the most inspirational and happy man he was.

He was my Legend!

I will miss his cheesy chat up lines, his shimmering when at parties or just dancing around the house, how he would always wear a hat and gloves even in the summer time, how he would always crack up at his own jokes even before he has finished them, his birthday and Christmas cards as they always had a roses for red poem that he had spent ages making up and we would always receive a painting. Life will never be the same again, however, he will never be forgotten and he’ll always be with us all.

About a year before Ryan passed away, he gained an interest into New York city and the Statue of Liberty. Ryan was a talented artist and had said he wanted to draw and paint the Statue of Liberty but needed to see it first. Ryan was astounded that you could take a boat trip around it and dreamt of doing this one day. This was all Ryan could speak about when we chatted. New York city was his dream.

We were planning on taking Ryan on this trip of a life time but due to Ryans medical needs getting insurance was proofing difficult and would cost us more in insurance than the trip. Therefore, it was taking longer than expected. Ryan had even started to save himself, £60 over several months which was amazing for Ryan as he had never saved for anything before and thought that this was enough.

This trip never got to happen.

Ryan was taken too soon and I refuse to not give him his trip of a life time.

Please help me and my family take Ryan on one last trip. We will be bringing him with us on the that boat trip around the Statue of Liberty and laying him to rest there.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and either way, whether you donate or not, please spare a thought for the man my brother was and how he gave the meaning behind a smile being infectious.

I love you always and forever and if those bed bugs come to bite, kick them out! x
