Ryan Georg (guitarist and vocals of metal band Saint Helen) was attacked after a show in Seattle. He was beaten with a bat and suffered serious injuries to his face and skull. He is in the hospital, will survive but recovery is going to take some time.

His breathing tube has been removed, and he is able to breath on his own and is now awake. He is trying to fully regain his motor skills but that will take some time as well.

Ryan was in 1/14th Calvary squadron. 2nd Infinity division of the United States Army. Deployed to Iraq for a one tour.  He served our country for a total of 4 years, and received an honorable discharge.

His fiance Cherry Cash (bassist of Saint Helen) has a 13 year old son, Bear and live in Olympia WA. Ryan is a loving and devoted step father.

His passion is heavy metal. He has loved sharing his light by living his dream playing in Saint Helen, which is his brain child. He wants to touch someone’s life through his music, like the bands who influenced him did while he was growing up.

We are asking for help, upcoming medical expenses, and family needs while Ryan recovers from this senseless, brutal attack by complete strangers!

Update: from RYAN GEORG
Thank you all so much for the support. The thought of how many people care does me so much good. I tear up thinking about it nearly everyday. This is amongst the many things i cry about these days, this had the hard, this has been frustrating as shit but Im getting better everyday. Saying more words, getting more mobile and agile, the numbness isn't going away quite yet but the doctors are saying it will. Thank you for your kindness, support, prayers, and thoughts. They really are working.

UPDATE: Ryan has been doing so well dealing with the challenges he faces. Nights are very hard, almost sleepless filled with excruciating pain. He has added a few words to his vocabulary and his swelling has gone down. His hand is still numb so when he picks the guitar up sometimes it’s successful, sometimes it’s frustrating. With the benefit shows and trying to get out of the house more, you might see us. He can’t wait to see your faces. Communication will be hard because he has to write everything down. It has been an emotional week, from cards in the mail to Fb posts to private messages we have received a lot of support and it brings us to tears. We had no idea we would have you as a part of our recovery. We thought we would be alone in this. His spirit gets lifted every time he reads the lovely words from you all. It always seems to be at the right time he needs a lift. I can’t thank you enough for helping him with positivity & love. The challenges he faces everyday are exhausting, draining, frustrating, & painful. He is so strong, fighting through it . We love you all. -CHERRY CASH

His hand coordination is getting better and practicing his guitar is the best medicine for that. Music heals! we love you all and thank you!-CHERRY
