Roxanne's Story - Assistance is Needed

My name is David. This story isn't about me but recently I have found out some very difficult news.  I will get to that momentarily.

Pictured in these photos is Roxanne Mathai. You may know her as Roxy, Rox, MuyThai, David's ex-wife/baby momma, or you may not even know her at all.  She is a civil servant that is passionate for her work in the Bexar County jail system.
If you met Roxanne or took a peek at her Facebook, the story you would get is that she is a dedicated, strong-willed, prideful, and passionate woman that likes to live life to the fullest.  She is also mother of 3. We raised three  amazing kids together, although only one is my biological daughter.  Bottomline, I am dad to all of them. Our oldest is grown (23) and on her own, our son is on his first mission in the Navy, and we have a baby girl, the beautiful red head in the pictures, who is graduating this year with plans to attend Texas State University in the fall.

For anyone that has ever worked in law enforcement you know that it's not the most lucrative field. Recently Roxanne had a partial hysterectomy  to remove cancer they found in her cervix. Everything seemed positive and the doctor's were confident about the procedure. As she recovers from the operation she was informed that now she needs a full hysterectomy, currently scheduled for mid-late April. She does have insurance but the medical bills are adding up quickly and her current bills (rent, car, insurance, phone, etc) don't have a pause button.  At this point she is going to move to a cheaper apartment in June, but she is still unsure how she is going to pay for the surgery and all of her bills. To top it off, there are no guarantees the surgery will be successful which means more potential treatment costs.

It's no secret, Roxanne and I don't see eye to eye on a lot of issues. In fact, most issues. But she is a great hearted person with so much love for her family and friends. She even took in kids that weren't hers to make sure they finished high school. Currently the amount set on this charity is based on the cost for the two surgeries and her bills that are piling up.

Asking for charity is not an easy thing for most people, and there is a reason her ex-husband is doing this instead of her. Like I mentioned, she is very prideful.
Anything is sincerely appreciated. Even just $1. If you are unable to donate, at the very least, donate your prayers. Your generosity means more than you know to me and her family.

Thank you for your consideration.
