Help My Babies And I Find A New Home
Hi everyone .
I have recently been a victim of a rental scam by this women named CYNTHIA ARECHIGA . she claimed to own a home which is located on rio grande ln in Bakersfield Ca .
Everything seemed extremely legit. She showed us the property on the 1st of February and was in a hurry to rent out her home. My kids and i needed a place to live so my sister,me and my kids were beyond excited to be able to move into our new place so we sighned a contract and filled out an application and gave this women that same day $1400. We met at san joaquin hospital because supposedly that's where she works she was on a tight schedule and wanted to meet up on her break. She handed over the key and stated that there was no water yet until Saturday. The very next morning on February 2nd my sister and i couldn't agree on the lease so she wanted her half of the money back wich was 600$ i told the Landlord that instead of my sister and i signing the lease that my sons dad and i could sighn the lease. She told me we would have to pat 2 more months of rent in advance to be able to move into the home. A couple days passed and i still wasn't able to move into the home my kids and i had been staying at a hotel for a couple nights which cost me alot of money as well. I then met up with cyhthia at san joaquin again to sighn the new contact and hand over the rest of the Money to be able to move in. She said she was locked out of her car and if i could give her a ride to her job at mercy hospital in the Sw of bakersfield. I gave her a ride she showed me pictures of her kids and her husband which was probably a big LIE aswell. We got to mercy and parked right at the front of the E.R i sighned the new lease and handed over her the rest of the money. She said she'd keep the lease until my sons dad comes into town to be able to sighn it. She only gave me a rental receipt. ( I've been staying at a hotel with my kids basically this whole time. I spoke to her early on until On February 7th and told her if we don't get the water connected I'm going to need my money back and she stated she could give me the money but not the deposit. So idk how she did it but i was finally able to move in because she had someone from cal water company show up to connect the water. After that day i have not heard from her she called me around 5pm and told me she was going to madera with her Doctor.
Long Story short i have been trying to contact this women CYNTHIA Arechiga her phone number is no longer in service.
I'm already living in the home and all my stuff and my kids stuff are in here what heartless person does this knowing i have 2 small children. 4 years old and a 6 month old
In total this women scammed me for $2800 + $600 of the money that was my sisters but came out from my pocket. $3400 plus hotel costs$$$
I filled a police report and got a hold of the actual realty management company .
This women stated to work at san joaquin hospital and at mercy sw as a call on nurse.
Everyone please be careful people can be really heartless

**If anybody would like to help my family out by donating anything so i can be able to find my kids a new home i would realy appreciate it from the bottom of my heart this woman took everything from us without a care in the world knowing she would cause so much damage to us.
