My friend and co-worker has worked hard over the past 5 years to move his life forward. He entered the shelter as a resident and through hard work and support from many people that care about him he moved from homelessness to full time employment with Congregations for the Homeless as a site manager. Just as Chad was really get his life on track he experienced the unexpected; he went to the emercency room two weeks ago for pancreatitis only to find out he had not 1 but 2 brain aneuresyms. Chad has undergone brain surgery and is making a remarkable recovery, he has regained his sight and speech and is spending 3-5 hours a day in rehab to strengthen his body, his short term memory is still a source of frustration but we are all hopeful that in time his memory skills will return. While lucky to be alive Chad will not be able to work for at least 2 months, he needs $700 a month to pay his living expenses. We hope that we can present Chad with a check for $1400 to help him fill in the financial gap for 2 months so he can use all of his energy to heal.
Thank you in advance for any help you can provide!
Many thanks,
Stacey Witte
