Accident Hardship

On April 3rd Our Daughters Jessica and Cassandra drove from Eufaula Ok to Mcalester Ok to take our Grandson Zay to his Dads for his visitation. They had a sister date afterwards to a movie and then dinner. Then they were headed back to Eufaula and just as they past the Crowder exit going on 69hwy north there was a pickup truck with no lights braked so Jessica swerved to her left. So the impact was head on damaging mostly the passenger side. Cassandra Rafael was the passenger. Meanwhile the man who was parked in the middle of the hwy was walking around eating cheetos. A first responder from Ar happened to be behind them and he called 911 and then checked on our daughters. He seen that Cassandra was pinned in and in not good condition. When the firemen arrived they cut Jessica out first and then it took them 45 minutes to get Cassandra out. As parents getting this phone call that both your children no matter the age was pinned in is no explanation of how we felt. It seemed the longest drive to reach the scene which looked horrific. All the EMT and Firemen were beyond superb at helping our daughters. Cassandra was life flighted to Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa and Jessica was transported to Mcalester. So we had to make the hardest decision on where to go until we was told how bad Cassandra was. She is still in Saint Francis Hospital. She had surgery later that morning on her right leg. Her femur on her upper thigh was broke and separated. And  her femur in the pelvic which also controls hip movement was broke. She is on the 4th floor now in Rehab. She also has a fractured pinky a swollen right bicep and swollen and bruised left leg from being pinned. Both girls had lacerated arms etc from shattered glass. Jessica has a fractured ankle and has been wearing a boot wrap. They are both emotionally torn to pieces as well as us as parents. I myself just started a new Job in mid January so I have no time built to claim pay. I work for Eufaula Monument and my pay is mainly based on sales. But I have spent everyday with Cassandra at the hospital trying to help her heal in all ways. She is employed with the Bank of Eufaula and will be off for many weeks. We have not brought income in for April to pay any of our monthly house bills and the gas and food is draining us. Then when they release Cassandra I still will have to give her round the clock care. It will be approximately 12 weeks before they predict her to walk again. This is very hard to understand that my children are suffering and this man who was reaked with alcohol and wasn't even driving his own vehicle is walking freely while I watch my daughter struggle to even use the bathroom. We need help to just cover our monthly expenses till our girls are mobile enough to care for themselves so we can return to work and start living our lives again. Thank you all for what you can do. .And please pray for our family
