Hi, my name is Zach Glascox. I am a junior attending Otterbein University where I am an Athletic Training major on the pre -med route. Here at Otterbein I have been involved with a number of campus activities including the varsity football team, a national fraternity Alpha Sigma Phi, the Health and Sports Science Club, and Otterbein Club for Athletic Training Students. I am also involved with a number of community outreach programs such as sports pals where we visit a local elementary school and teach children the importance of teamwork and leadership through sports. Another is a program called WARM and Share Bac-A-Pac, both which provide food and other neccesities to people in need in our community. I am also my fraternities philanthropy chair which is responsible for setting up and hosting an event to raise awareness for a specific cause each semester. Once I graduate from Otterbein I plan on applying to a PA school to persue my dream job in the medical field.
You may ask: What are you fundraising for?
I have been given the incredible oppurtunity of being admitted into the Atlantis Project . I will be placed in Rome Italy from 07/02/2017- 07/29/2017. During my time there I will be shadowing physicians and surgeons from different specialties for 20+ hours a week. In addition, our group will also be involved in several community service projects to give back to the local community. This fellowship is designed to give pre-health students a look at the healthcare system from an international level and to allow the students to become the best healthcare professionals. The fellowship is a dream come true which will allow me to further persue my passion in the medical field.

You may also be wondering: How will this money be used?
My fundraising goal is $6,000. This includes plane fare, transportation to and from the hospital, housing accomodations, meals, travel health insurance, group excursions, and local phone. The deadline for this program fee is April 01, 2017. Any donation is immensely appreicated! Thank you for taking the time to read my story and the exciting journey I am about to embark on and I hope you choose to be a part of this with me!
