Running for Rural Families

Coming from a remote area in the northern Riverina I have been keenly aware of the limited health services in the bush and the stresses it puts both emotionally and financally on  families having to to travel hundreds of km with sick kids to larger regional centres often for months at a time. The Ronald McDonald House in Wagga provides a home away from home for families with children and expectant mothers receiving medical treatment, enabling families to stay together. 
On the 16th of March 2019 I will be competeing in a 24hr run at the AIS in Canberra, my goal here is to run somewhere between 220-240km this is a massive challenge for me and something very few people have attempted let alone achieved before.
I will be using this run to raise funds and awareness for the Ronald McDonald House in Wagga Wagga.
The funds will allow the Ronald McDonald House to continue to provide accomitation and support for families requiring medical treatment in Wagga Wagga. It's only through fundraising efforts like this and other donations that keep this great facility running.
As a father of two beautiful healthy girls this organisation is close to my heart and I want to use this personal challenge of mine to support such a great organisation that supports families in need.
