That good samaritan who stopped to help was Rue.
In the early morning hours of April 19, Rue witnessed a car accident and pulled over to help the victim. When he exited his car and proceeded to help, he himself was struck by another vehicle passing by. Rue suffered multiple injuries including a fracture to his skull, a broken leg, multiple broken ribs, and damage to three of his vertebrae (see more information in the link above)
We, as Rue’s friends and coworkers, can say that he is someone who is always offering a helping hand and truly care about others. We are not sure of the extent of all of the injuries and will keep this updated as we receive information. He has a long road to recovery and we appreciate anything you can give, including prayers.
We are setting up this campaign to help with medical expenses with the permission of his mother.
