My name is Chris Anderson, i am a mixed martial arts fighter with a record of 9-2 . I Recently won the Western Canadian Welterweight title (BFL), as well as the Eastern Canadian Welterweight title (Hardknocks). 
I Have an upcoming fight In Richmond at the River Rock casino on May 30th, 2015. This will be my last Amateur fight. I Would like to take this opportunity to make a difference. I Have Decided that i would love nothing more than to raise money for a Charity. I Have chosen, Fight for the Forgotten, which is a charity that supports the Pygmie Tribes in the Congo. The Pygmies call themselves the Forrest People, or the Forgotten Tribe ( where the name fight for forgotten comes from). 
I Will be kicking off the fundraising by donating $250 of my own money, as well as half of any sponsorships i get that are monetary will be going to the Pygmies as well.
The Forgotten need this money to have a Clean Drinking water well put in. Right now they are drinking dirty water, which has many parasites, diseases, animal feces and other things that are making them very ill, and even killing them. $3,500 would be enough for supplies, transportation and the building of a water well that would not only improve the quality of life in so many of the pygmies, but also Save their lives. They are one of the last Indigenous tribes, living off the land, hunting their own food, cooking over fire, living in mud and folliage huts, with no electricity. They are extremely kind, happy, and just amazing people.
However, In the congo, they are not even considered equals, and many do not even think of them as human but as some sort of animal. These poor people are being mistreated, enslaved, beated, killed and even eaten by other humans. 
So this is why i have chosen to Fight for the Forgotten. I would like to make a difference, and This clean water well would make a difference in so many lives of the Pygmies. I am asking you to join me in this journey to saving some lives, and improving health in the much deserved people of the forrest.
