Donation protected
This is my nephew Daniel and up until Saturday 3rd of March Daniel was a strong, vibrant, happy, healthy young man of 19 years.
On Saturday afternoon Daniel’s mum, Allana and brother Cody found Daniel collapsed on the bathroom floor, he had suffered a brain aneurysm.
Daniel was rushed to Port Macquarie hospital , then was taken in a helicopter to John Hunter hospital in Newcastle where they said he had the best chance...... sadly there was nothing they could do for our boy Daniel, the blood had damaged his brain too much and he was pronounced brain dead.
The only thing keeping him alive were machines.
To show how selfless Daniel was both Allana and Cody agreed that it would have been his wishes to donate his organs to save others.
He has potentially saved more then 7 other people!!
Daniel was a good hard working man who had just started to live his life as an adult, getting his licence and starting an apprenticeship in metal fabrication with Gibson and sons in Kendall.
We just can’t understand how this has happened to someone so young and healthy.
Daniels Mum and brother are absolutely shattered as are the rest of his family and friends, he was loved so much and will be missed forever.
This has come as such a shock that we are struggling to come up with the funds for the funeral that Allana and Cody would like Daniel to have.
We aren’t a family that usually asks for help, but we have had a few blows over the past 6 months and this is so important that we decided it was time to reach out.
We would all be forever grateful for any donations big or small to help Daniel have the send off both him and his family deserve.
