My Romans 8:1 Journey

A few months ago God broke my heart for a very special group of women, those living with HIV/AIDS. A love and sense of urgency has been stirring in me ever since.
Knowing that there were women in the Hill Country and San Antonio who are living in silence with the stigma and effects of this disease sent me on a search to find a faith based ministry where I could serve and love on these women. I was saddened at how few (almost non existent) ministries there were that focused on people living with HIV/AIDS, and what saddened me more is that I could not find one local ministry that specifically ministered to women.
While on this search, I was blessed to be connected with an organization in Dallas that hosts the largest national conference for women living with HIV/AIDS. I've been invited to volunteer during this conference and learn from the some of the best advocates in the nation. But most importantly I will get to love on and serve these women. I'm praying that I will be able to bring back what I learn from Dallas and begin to minister to women locally. God has made it very clear that I'm not supposed to get myself there (this is something very hard for me to do), but rather ask for support and allow HIM to get me there.
The Grace Project Conference will be held on May 1-3 in Dallas,TX. I know in my heart that God will be moving in a very big way. I covet your prayers for myself, the rest of the volunteers, and above all the women that will be attending. I have decided to set the goal to raise enough funds to get me to the conference and cover the costs of attending, but I know God will provide me with the exact amount I am meant to take with me.
