Love, Their Family and Friends

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.
The outpouring of support and love has been overwhelming and humbling.
We will be forever grateful.
I believe we were witness to a miracle today.
A perfect boy, born on the winter's solstice, came to us and taught all who he touched, that Christmas is about hope and love and giving your heart and hand to help others.
He blessed his parents with his presence for the holiday, which was a gift from the heavens unto itself.
Today at 4:32 p.m., his work completed, he slipped on his wings and ascended to the stars above as a beautiful, pure white angel of peace and light.

CLAYTON JEROME HEALY. DEC 21-26 2015.

Today I will call upon the power of social media. Something I never, ever thought I would do.

On December 21, 2015 my beautiful wife, Morningstar Healy gave me a gift.

It was my birthday and she went into labor.
After carrying the child for 38 weeks through a picture perfect pregnancy, we still had no idea if it was going to be a girl or a boy. Being there at the hospital and thinking about receiving the gift of a child filled my heart with incomparable joy.
It was early by two weeks, but the latest exams had proven that the baby would be totally viable with an approximate weight of over six pounds.
As time progressed, things quickly took a turn for the worst. Her doctors did all they could do, and through an emergency cesarean, they managed to deliver our first born son! He needed help. Because of an unforeseen condition he had been without oxygen for sometime. The doctors and staff were able to revive him, but that did not eliminate the damages that had begun.
Within an hour he was onboard the Med Flight helicopter, headed to Mass General Hospital.

As I write this, baby Clayton is being lovingly cared for at the Newborn Intensive Care Unit. He is being kept in a controlled state of hypothermia, to reduce further damage to his brain. He weighs 7 lb 3 oz, he is 19 inches long. He is a beautiful baby boy. The most perfect gift we could ever wish for.

The doctors are being real, his prognosis is very grim. We, as parents, fully understand what they are telling us.
He has been in this chilled state for 55 hrs and has 16 more to go. The doctors and nurses will then slowly warm him over a12 hr period, back to his normal temperature, and at that point he will go for an MRI so the doctors can have a look at the damage that was done.

This time frame puts him there right around Christmas morning.
We are praying for a Miracle.

We need your help with this prayer.

Please pray in anyway you can. This time of year brings together family and friends, and positive vibes abound.

I ask that you keep him in your thoughts and hearts as you go to bed tonite, and wish him the best as you wake up and celebrate the holiday.
Please share his story too.
We need as much love as a precious little boy can handle.
