My name is Sachin J. Jhunjhunwala, and I am a mathematics teacher at Evanston Township High School. My dear friend and colleague at ETHS, Ross Freeland passed away on March 14th, 2016 after being diagnosed with stomach cancer a few months earlier.

Ross has touched so many lives through church, his family, Camp Highlands, baseball, and as a teacher. Ross' family would be so thankful for anything you can give to support them.

ATTENTION: This message pertains to all ETHS students, Evanston residents, and people looking to support a great cause. Recently Ross Freeland, a teacher at ETHS and varsity baseball coach, was diagnosed with stomach cancer. It started out with me and some friends getting the idea to play a pickup basketball game, Northside boys vs. the Southside boys. The game was originally going to be played for a friendly wager and we started to advertise the game in hopes of drawing a decent crowd to make the game more fun. Today I had an idea that if we are asking people to come watch 10 mediocre basketball players we might as well make the game have a greater purpose. In hopes of supporting Mr. Freeland and his family during this tough time in their lives we have decided to host the game at Chute Middle School this upcoming Sunday, the entry fee for the game will be $3 per person. We realize this may not raise as much money as the exponentially growing Ross Freeland gofundme account, but every dollar counts. The game time is TBD for now but will be posted later this week. Please come out and support this cause, tell everyone you possibly can even if you can't make it. Hope to see you there!
Northside Lineup: Nick Lydon Charlie Prah Simon O'Donnell Coby Dodelson Chris David
Southside Lineup: Charlie Bailey Ben Wilson Keenan Miscinski Nathan Easington Alex Galvin

The Ross Freeland Fund has passed over 500 donations in less than 2 days. As you can imagine, this has been overwhelming for Ross and his family. They really appreciate your love, generosity and support. Keep spreading the word, as there are so many people who Ross has touched who would want to know what's going on and might be willing to support him. You can continue to follow Ross' progress on http://www.tinyurl.com/supportfreeland . Again, thank you so much for showing Ross what we already know. . . how much he has impacted our lives, and how much he means to each of us.
