Re-open the Roos-N-More zoo!

What started as a household of furry friends in Moapa quickly turned into a tourist attraction featuring over 100 mammals, reptiles, and birds! Roos-N-More offers incredibly unique and up-close-and-personal encounters with the world's coolest critters including sloths, capuchins, camel, and kangaroos of course!
Roos-N-More was never meant to be a zoo. It closed to the public in the fall of 2014 because it lacked the proper facilities to host large groups, and open zoo days were its main source of income. Over the past two years, generous donations and in-kind support from Zappos and the community have allowed the zoo's dedicated staff and volunteers to keep the animals happy, healthy, and loved.
It has been a long and strenuous journey, but the zoo is thrilled to announce that reopening is within sight! The list of items that stand between the zoo and its open zoo days is short, but the price is not so sweet.
Roos-N-More has a goal to raise $100,000 before June 30th to pay for the following:
- Parking lot ($14,000)
- Handicap parking and ADA sidewalk ($9,000)
- Trash enclosures and services ($9,000)
- Barrier fences ($20,000)
- Paint and clear coat ($5,000)
- Construction company ($4,000)
- Land appraisal ($5,000)
- Animal food ($9,000)
- Insurance ($5,000)
- Zookeepers ($20,000)
Donations of $500+ will receive the following:
- $500-$999: A private tour for you and your family/friends after re-opening
- $1,000-$4,999: Free admission to the zoo for the remainder of 2016
- $5,000-$9,999: An exclusive invitation to a pre-grand opening event
- $10,000+: A plaque on an exhibit of your choice for 2016 with your family's name/company name
