Roger Mendes’s Stairway to Heaven

Roger was the kindest soul with a gentle voice . He loved Rock and Roll and rocking his guitar. He always had big dreams of being a rockstar. He would spend many evenings with his guitar practicing until the wee hours of the night. Some late nights he would performed a one man concert and would invite the police to his shows.
Roger loved to spend time with brother John. Listening to music, throwing the ball around and sitting by the fire pit just talking.
He loved his animals very much and treated them better than most humans he knew. He would fill his facebook page with images of his chihuahuas and cats.
Roger spent many years helping my parents manage Marcel's Place Restaurant. He loved spending time with the patrons and listening to their stories. He organized Pool and Foosball tournaments where everyone had fun and forgot their worries for a little bit. He was very missed by regular customers when he pursued a career in personal assistance and property management.
Unfortunately Roger became unemployed and struggled with finding a job for several years that left him without health or life insurance. He was determined to get his feet back on the ground but sadly his health deteriorated and took the best of him.
The demons have finally walked away and GOD took over and brought him peace. Rest In Peace My Sweet Brother.

We ask that in lieu of flowers, that you would please consider making a donation towards his Memorial Fund to lessen the burden of expenses on his family.
