Rod Hartley ALS Family Support

Donation protected
Rod Hartley has been one of the head coaches of Colorado State Men's Rugby for a number of years now. Recently Rod was diagnosed with ALS, which has progressed rather rapidly and put him in a wheel chair in a matter of months.

Rod’s diagnosis hasn’t stopped him from being there for the team. In fact, his drive to be there for the team has grown. Rod has repeatedly beat it into our heads that we are a family, and has been willing to do anything for us as if we were one of his own. He hasn’t let this diagnosis stop him from doing whatever it takes to support the team: whether it’s speaking to sponsors, working on new uniform contracts, or helping a player get the means to play this season. He has truly sacrificed for this team, and we, as his family, don’t want to let his fight and sacrifices go unnoticed or rewarded.

Rod and his family aren’t entirely prepared to handle this diagnosis on their own, and they do not have life insurance. They are fighting through this disease, but we don’t want them to have to fight alone. We are their family and they are ours. Our plan is to start collecting donations for a fundraiser account to help Rod and his family handle whatever bills and preparations they need.
