This GoFundMe page is an online memorial for our good friend Robert Jenkins (aka Khan, as he's known in the adult world). I set this up to give everyone a chance to send their respective goodbyes as I'm hopeful Khan will have a chance to read these comments in his final few days.
In addition, this page is intended to provide a fund for his wife Rose Ann who will be left with large medical bills and financial hardships. It is a particularly tough situation because Rose Ann is going through her own health issues, so hopefully we can raise enough money to help with her needs as well.
Khan has been working in the adult biz for about 20 years now. Over the course of those years many of you within the industry have worked with Khan whether you were aware of it or not. He was one of my very first employees soon after I created the YNOT Network. Most in the industry remember him as the keeper of the message boards back when the industry was first converging to the internet. He is one of the true original old school guys in the biz but he always kept up with current trends, spoke his mind, stayed true to himself and is a true professional. I re-hired Khan, along with his wife Rose Ann, in 2006 to help maintain TheBestPorn.com, PornUsers.com and more recently MyPorn.com. His hard work and loyalty to both the adult community and to he will be missed and never forgotten.
Robert suffered a severe heart attack in 2007. Stents were inserted at the time, but it was not enough to keep his heart’s ability and health from deteriorating. Numerous issues have popped up over the years ranging from fluid buildup in his heart, inconsistent blood pressure, and neuropathy in his legs. Still, he maintained a great attitude and work ethic taking small breaks to take short walks as directed by his physicians, but making it up with late nights and early mornings.
Most recently, new health issues arose requiring changes to his medications, but it proved too much for his system to handle. Along with everything else, a systemic infection took over, which had his kidney and liver functions depleting rapidly. He made the bold choice to forego further medical tests, procedures, and treatments in order to not further burden his friends, family, and wife with more bills and emotional trauma. He was moved to a hospice facility last Friday, and his current prognosis gives him a few days to a week or so left with us.
He’s been a computer nerd as long as anyone has. He loved being involved in all types of online communities, and he finally found his home in the adult world for the last two decades of his life. He chose to live a simple life with his wife in rural Virginia, all while doing what he loved most.
Any donations big or small are greatly appreciated by his wife, and myself personally. Though we all enjoy the fun and relaxed atmosphere that working in the adult industry provides, it hurts to see someone who was so dedicated and hardworking have to suffer and worry about his loved ones and their future at a time like this.
