We are the RoboRunners VEX IQ Robotics Team 1313, a competitive VEX IQ robotics team based in Traverse City, Michigan. The RoboRunners are made up of five girls and two boys in 5th through 8th grade.

We need your help to get to the World Championship!

The RoboRunners had an amazing showing at the 2019 Michigan State VEX IQ Championship in February. Both the Elementary and Middle School teams qualified for the VEX IQ World Championship in April.

Our all-girl Elementary team 1313A won Excellence & Teamwork Challenge Champion!

This is the 3rd year in a row that they won Excellence (the highest award given in VEX) and Teamwork Challenge Champion at States. They finished the season ranked #26 in the United States and #60 in the World in Robot Skills!

On March 11th, 2109, RoboRunners Team 1313A were announced as the 2019 VEX IQ winners of the Make It Real CAD Engineering Challenge Sponsored by Autodesk ® for the second year in a row. Their Caster Wheel entry won 1st place out of all other VEX IQ teams in the world. You can view their winning entry here: https://challenges.robotevents.com/challenge/94/entry/5885

Last year at the 2018 World Championship, 1313A won the Design Award in the Viking division, the 2018 VEX IQ winners of the Make It Real CAD Engineering Challenge Sponsored by Autodesk ® and were one of five winners of the VEX Photography Online Challenge. They also ranked 6th place in overall Robot Skills (out of 400 teams), and made the Viking division Teamwork Challenge finals in teamwork where they finished in 6th place.

Middle school team 1313M won Excellence, Teamwork Challenge Champion & Robot Skills!

They finished the season ranked #11 in the United States and #17 in the World for Robot Skills!

Last year at the 2018 World Championship, 1313M ranked in 36th place in overall Robot Skills (out of 398 teams), and finished in 38th place in the Engineering division Teamwork Challenge.

RoboRunners are a dedicated and determined group who work extremely hard to be Excellent in everything they do. The team greatly appreciates your support!

We have a total fundraising goal of $7,000.

Update: We are more than halfway to our total goal from offline donations! We have lowered our GoFundMe goal to $3,000.

This amount covers our Worlds registration ($995 per team) and will help offset some of the additional costs of attending Worlds (travel, hotel, food, etc.) for our six RoboRunner families.

How can you help us?

We appreciate any amount that you're able to contribute to help support our team.

If you aren't able to contribute right now, that's OK too! We'd love for you to share this fundraising campaign or just leave an encouraging comment for the team.
