Bastrop Bears Robotics

We are a FIRST Lego League robotics team and we need money to pay for expenses. The team registration fee is $225 and it is another $175 for each competition entry fee.  We will also have travel and food expenses. We meet 4 times a week and need brain food. A lot of the time we have to end meetings early to go get food, this dramatically reduces productivity. We estimate the food cost to be around $65 dollars a week. As we plan to meet more times a week when we get near the competition that means even more money per week. The practice mat and practice pieces cost $75, we have already ordered them but we had to borrow the money to do so.All of us on the RoboBears would greatly appreciate donations.

The competition we are involved in is composed of three difrent parts. The first is our core values, this is how we act with each other and interactions with with other teams. The second is our project, we have to research a problem that has to do with recycling. The problem we have chose is the fact that we do not have a place to recycle aerosol cans that have any kind of fluid in them. The third part is the actual robot game we have a challenge table with several complicated challenges on it , we will have to build and program a robot to complete as many of these as possible. So each robot costs around $700 and the expansion kits cost an additional $100 a piece we were abel to revive a grant for one of each but we would love to increase our chances by purchasing more.
