Hello. I'm Maureen Robichaud. I'm 25 and I work as a medical assistant. I'm here asking for assistance with helping my parents. My mom about 3 years ago lost her leg due to a bone infection (osteomyelitis). My mom worked 30+ years as a nurse at a few of the local nursing homes. She always worked hard to provided for us kids. My dad has worked 20+ years for NHDOT and before that NHBB. They haven't had anything handed to them. They want it they worked for it. My mom was a single mom at 19 she put herself though nursing school raising my older brother. Now due to the low standards they have set for home heating oil, food pantry etc. my dad and I make to much. My mom has not been able to work since the amputation due to several set backs. She is now back in wound care and will probably need a 3rd surgery before being able to wear her leg for long periods of time. We aren't the type of people normally to ask for help. But our septic system is in failure. I'm asking people to please donate to this so I can make sure my parents don't loose their home due to this failure. They both have worked hard and my dad continues to work hard. He is in need of a bilateral knee replacement there are days it hurts him to walk. But he keeps on going. Pushing though the pain. I'd love nothing more then to give them this. My dad and I both work 40 hrs a week and my dad sometimes more. But making ends meet is still hard. Even a small donation is better then none. And for those who know my mom know she is one of the most caring loving person you'd ever meet and she'd give you the shirt off her back if you needed it.
