Rob Godfrey. A Step Forward

My life was turned upside down in 2012 when I had an accident that was to change my life forever.
While carrying out maintenance on the roof at the skatepark i built, i fell through it.
The accident left me with broken ribs, a punctured lung, swelling on the brain, a fractured ankle and a T12 spinal injury that has now left me paralysed from the waist down.
After years and years of dedication and innovation building the best ramps i possibly could for all disciplines of skatepark extreme sports, i am now unable to continue doing the one thing i found the most joy and purpose doing.
With your help I am hoping to purchase a ReWalk suit and full fill my dream of getting back on my feet and taking a step in the right direction.
Could you help me take my first steps?
I need to raise £50,000 to enable me to buy this life changing suit.

Thank you for your support and for taking the time to read my story.
Gratefully yours

Rewalk were kind enough to bring one of the suits down to Rampworx Skatepark while BBC Northwest covered the moment to help spread the awareness of the fundraiser, even Ricky Tomlinson came down to support. With your help this the aid device i hope to purchase to get me back on my feet.
This was a moment that I will never forget, I was able to stand for the first time in 5 years. Unfortunately i had to give the suit back at the end of the day but was great to test it and actually walk again.
The Rewalk exoskeleton.

Pre accident picking up a Spirit of Merseyside award for work within the Rampworx Skatepark charity i helped set up.

With my daughter on her wedding day.

The dream really is about getting back work building Ramps for all ages, abilities and levels of skill.
