Hi Friends! As many of you know, Robby and I were college sweethearts. I still hold a vivid memory of the day he came home from a routine doctor's visit with the news that he was showing early signs of renal failure. He was barely 30, so the words left me dumbfounded. After further medical consult, it was clear the glomerulonephritis that made his early childhood a difficult and tenuous time was back, and this time it was for good. I was heartbroken. How could this young, AMAZING force of man be in RENAL FAILURE?
Flash forward 20 years, and he is still my strong, AMAZING friend. It's very likely that he is your friend too, as Robby has never met a stranger! And now our friend needs our help. After years of enduring dialysis, Robby and his equally amazing wife Kim Wade have made the brave decision to pursue a kidney transplant. A new kidney will not only make his daily life as a husband, father, and special education teacher easier and more comfortable, it can actually EXTEND HIS LIFE.
But transplants and all that go with a major life event of this magnitude AIN'T CHEAP. Why don't we all chip in and make it a little easier? I know that $30K is a huge goal, but Robby is worth it!
