Some of you may know Rob Begley as a Father, Friend, Family Man or Co-Worker, and some of you may know Rob as Vik Dalishus - one half of the local Hudson Valley Professional Wrestling Tag Team "THE NOW".
On December 1st, Rob was involved in freak accident in a wrestling match that he was participating in, trying to earn some money for his family. Rob had fallen from the top rope of the wrestling ring all the way to the floor. Because of that fall, Rob suffered a devistating severe spiral fracture of his Tibia and a fracture of his Fibula. Essentially breaking his leg and splintering the bones in his leg which will require many surgeries to correct and will leave him immobile for 3 months with a 6 to 8 month projected recovery time. Rob's leg currently is held together with pins and screws and will lead to a grueling recovery of serious rehab, more surgeries, and Rob will be unable to work for at least 6 months.
Rob's wife, recently took a financial leap and left her job so she and Rob can move toward a business venture together. This injury will add a tremendous amount of pressure to Rob's family of 5 and family income. With medical expenses and being out of work around the Holidays this will leave the family in a tough predicament.
We as Rob's friends and of course fans of Vik Dalishus, we want to gather together to help Rob, his wife, and 3 kids have a little easier time while dealing with his surgeries, recovery, missed work, and family time around the holidays.
So please make a donation to the cause to help a man who was just trying to bring a paycheck home to his family while doing his best to entertain us all.
