The Pelham Police Relief Association family suffered a tragic incident
last night. The Roark Family lost their house and most of their
belongings in a fast-moving structure fire. The family and their pets
escaped safely with only the clothing on their backs.
We’re deeply moved by the influx of inquiries asking how to help. First
responders are accustomed to being there for community members in
crisis; receiving help is unfamiliar territory to us.  The Roark Family has always been there for their community and is reluctant to ask for help.
This is a legitimate place to direct your donations and we’ll ensure the
family receives them without delay. Another way to help the family is to give gift cards of any kind to purchase the items that they need to get
back on their feet. Gift cards can be dropped off 24/7 at the Police
Station with the Dispatcher on duty. At this time, we respectfully
request that household items (clothing, blankets, toiletries etc.) not
be donated as the family does not have a place to store them.
If you have any questions, please contact Jamie Connolly, Vice
President of the PPRA at (603) [phone redacted] or
