Wayne, the fund will definitely cover not only the families impacted in Fairdale, but all the surrounding families in the rural areas as well.

best there be any confusion about who has organized this fund, the URL connected to the village of Kirkland website does in fact take you to this GoFundMe account.

I think many people are wondering if the donations to the Fairdale Relief Fund will help only Fairdale residents?... or will it also help some in the rural area around Fairdale? There were a number of homes on the backroads around Fairdale that were also hit.

I'm sorry you've experienced some issues with the Go Fund Me url. The incorrect URL was listed in the Rockford Register Star but the link on the website - www.villageofkirkland.com is correct. I personally had the fund set up through the village of Kirkland and I am the village clerk. I absolutely guarantee the fund is legitimate.
