2015 Team Huddle Holiday Giving

Donation protected
Last year we had the honor of helping to raise money during the holidays for 3 families, with the incredible generousity of the supporters of Hall of Fame Huddle and Team Huddle we were able to raise $2200 plus groceries and gas cards.

Due to the success of last year and the unfortunate need for some assistance again this year, we will again do the Holiday Giving.

This year we will be helping a couple families that are in similar situations where the fathers were tragically hospitalied with life threatening injuries. Thankfully both are doing much better but as a consequence they missed and continue to miss work and the mothers also lost work to be with their husbands. Both families have children and the help would not only go along way to help them survive financially but would also be very thankful.

One family will remain unknown but the second family hits a little close, with twin daughters being part of the Team Huddle family. The Pierce Family are incredible people that I've enjoyed working with. Here is a little more about their situation from their coach Cassie Schrock at Massillon.

"On November 12th, 2015 Joe Pierce collapsed in his home with some heart issues.  He was rushed to the hospital and was in critical condition and fighting for his life for over a week at Cleveland Metro Hospital.  Since then he remains in the hospital and is making tremendous progress everyday he is in there to get back to his normal life.  Joe is a father of 5 with whom his 2 twin daughters Makayla and Kaylee play for Massillon and also play for Team Huddle in the summer.  Joe is the assistant basketball coach for Massillon as well.  He is a devoted, dedicated person whom will do anything for his family, players, or his town. Obviously being in a hospital for over a month can cost a lot of money, so any type of donations or help you can give to Joe and his family would be greatly appreciated."

So please join us this holiday season to help make the lives of two families a little bit more manageable. I've always claimed to have the best followers their are. The outpouring of support I get from everyone on a daily basis let's me know that. I hope to match the success we had last year and be able to show the kids that I work with that charity and giving are very rewarding.

The fund will run through the beginning of the year, closing on January 4th. The goal is just a number i started with, if we hit it thats excellent, but if we don't thats ok too, any amount will be useful to these families.
