Raheem Rivera's Baseball Dreams

Donation protected

To our community, family and friends,

I ask you to please take the time to read the following for me in regard to our son, Raheem Rivera.

Raheem loves baseball and it is a big part of his life, I hope you will be able to help. Raheem made the Kent Little League All Star Team in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 and in 2015/2016 moved to a select team where the players and coaches gave him the honor of "Captain" for the PBC ZIPS.  Raheem is a Left Handed Pitcher and First Basemen. Raheem is very committed to his academics.  Raheem finished the school year with a 3.855 GPA while taking honor classes and also played football at Mattson and received awards for being "Mr. Offense", "Captain" and he received the great honor of receiving the "Coaches Award" in the 2015 season of Football. In the 2014-2015 academic school year Raheem received the award for "Outstanding Student of The Year in Health and Fitness for Life" and received an award for "Student of the Month for Responsibility and Respect". He is a leader in the classroom and a leader on the field. In 2015 Raheem received the "Humanitarian Award" for his active involvement in the community by volunteering in helping students with special needs. Raheem is now attending high school at Kentwood in Covington, Washington where he is also taking honor classes and continues to pursue his academic and baseball dreams.

Under Armour and Baseball Factory holds tryouts in all 50 states. They were recently in Washington and our son Raheem Rivera received an invite for a special tryout on June 23, 2015 at Newport High School with a chance to be selected to the Under Armour/Baseball Factory National team. Raheem received word that he was 1 of 3 baseball players selected from the state of Washington. This means Under Armour with Baseball Factory has made a commitment to follow him for the next 4 years through high school to help him with his exposure nationally in baseball as a prospect.

Raheem was selected out of thousands of players to make the Under Armour/Baseball Factory National Team competing in the Freshman/Sophomore Fall classic that is held in Peoria, Arizona from October 5th to October 9th and is held at the Peoria Sports Complex.  At this event, he will "train like a professional player" with Baseball Factory's pro scouts, former pro players and college coaches. Each day will be just like a professional, training and accommodations at Four Points Sheraton.  He will live for a week in the Spring Training Facility and Dad and I will only see him at the games.  There is a game schedule, 3 meals a day, and 10 hours each day of accelerated baseball instruction and competitive game-play.

As you can imagine he is very excited to have this opportunity to elevate his game to a much higher level. With more events to expose him on a national level to follow.  As you can imagine he is very excited to have made this prestigious team of outstanding players within our nation. He will be competing with the best baseball players and teams in the country and will be coached by professional baseball players and pro scouts.

Raheem has trained with his dad for years with the hopes and dreams of being good enough to play with the best and being noticed. This great experience will help him to reach his highest potential and receive national recognition to help with his future.

Raheem is seeking sponsor support in order for him to have this opportunity and he needs your help. The financial obligation is to fundraise to cover Raheem's local transportation, hotel, food, training, coaching, uniform, registration, insurance and miscellaneous costs. These donations will be sent to Under/Armour Baseball Factory to assist him with baseball events through high school.

Raheem is very proud to be part of  Under Armour/Baseball Factory. They are really helping his baseball career. Look them up online at www.baseballfactory.com and see how they help baseball players across the nation. Raheem's goals are to play high school baseball, college and someday have you watch him on television playing in the big leagues. Baseball Factory/Under Armour has created a player page for Raheem that is updated after each event he goes to. Here is the link to his page so you can follow him in his baseball career.
