Prayer Warriors and Generous Hearts are needed NOW!!! On Monday, January 5, 2016, Shellie Rader experienced a spontaneous hemorrhage in her precious brain! Currently the doctors are working to find the source of the bleed, however, they have been unable to locate the source at this time. Shellie's pain has been extensive, yet we (family and friends) are praying for and expecting a full recovery.

Meet the Raders!

Chris, Shellie, Abigail and Maddox.
A loving, generous, joyful, and full of light family who is deeply rooted in following Christ and helping others learn of His unfailing and faithful LOVE! Chris and Shellie each have hearts of gold! Both are shining examples of all that is true and good!

Chris is a licensed massage therapist and often donates his gift of healing to the homeless to restore hope and show love. Shellie works as the Chair of Student Support (Special Education) Centennial High School in Franklin, Tennessee and is truly passionate about giving her students the best education possible with a loving approach.

Hospital bills are going to be astronomical as she is expected to remain in the hospital for many days and Chris is spending all of his time by her side, therefore forgoing a paycheck in the process.

The Raders are such a special family who give without the expectation of receiving and they donate their time, money, and efforts to help anyone and everyone that they can! This is a family that has given SO MUCH to others...and now it is their turn to receive! Please help us raise $25,000 or MORE to help cover the rising costs of medical bills and unearned wages. Anything you can give is truly a blessing! No donation is too small. Together we can provide tremendous financial relief for Shellie and Chris.

My name is Amy Weber and I own co- {r}elevé one fitness studios in Franklin, Tennessee with my husband, Jeremy.  Shellie is a very treasured member of our fitness community and we consider the Raders our family!

Lets all Rise Up For the Raders!!

Please SHARE this story and pray for our sweet Shellie and her loving husband, Chris!! Pray for their strength and the Lord's loving touch to restore her to perfect and lasting health!

Our Gratitude Runs Deep and Endless!!

With Love,
Amy

I’m thrilled to announce that this is the final update!

Today marks day 60. Two months from Day One of this amazing and faith filled journey!

Friends, it is with extreme joy and profound gratitude and awe that I announce…

The Rader Family Has Risen Up… and Then Some!

Since my last post, beautiful healing has taken place…

The week of February 15th, our girl crushed some major milestones!

Shellie returned to the studio, on Tuesday, February 16th and had a beautiful and strong practice. Prior to class, I picked Shellie and drove her to the studio. On the way, we discussed how the only fear that remained was to walk through those doors and get through her first class. I was so proud to stand beside her and witness those healing moments. Shellie confronted her fear and then crushed it by walking bravely through the very doors where she had last been carried out on a stretcher the evening of January 4th. There was joy and there were tears during those few hours we spent together! For me, it was so meaningfull, because we exited the building together that night and we entered together on this day! Full Circle! Our God is so beyond GOOD!

In addition to taking class, Shells also passed her CT and EKG tests with flying colors, in true Miracle Girl Shellie Rader Fashion! ;)

On Friday, February 19th, Shellie saw her surgeon, Doctor Standard, who proclaimed that her healing was totally amazing and a “MIRACLE”!! We have so enjoyed hearing the doctors and nurses use this term, as it glorifies are our Heavenly Father all the more!

Doctor Standard sent Shellie to a specialist to test her vision. It was determined that Shellie did not suffer any damage to her optical nerve...nerve 6.

What our girl had to recover from was temporary shock/aka sixth cranial nerve palsy in her right eye.

Sixth cranial nerve palsy is weakness of the nerve that innervates the lateral rectus muscle. The lateral rectus muscle pulls the eye away from the nose and when the lateral rectus muscle is weak, the eye crosses inward toward the nose (esotropia). The esotropia is larger on distance fixation and on gaze to the same side as the affected lateral rectus muscle.
What causes cranial nerve VI palsy?
The most common causes of 6th cranial nerve palsy are stroke, trauma, viral illness, brain tumor, inflammation, infection, migraine headache and elevated pressure inside the brain.

Shells was told that her double and weakened vision would take up 4- 6 months to heal. Well, she totally crushed that statistic too!

Shellie no longer needs a patch and no longer suffers from double vision! PRAISE GOD!!!

On Monday, February 22, Shellie returned to her regular Monday 5:45pm class at the studio, the same class she was participating in on January 4th. Another monumental moment of healing! Being able to lead Shellie through this class was an absolute joy!

Since that time, our Rockstar has been back to the studio a few more times and gets stronger with every class.

On Tuesday, February 23rd, as Shellie drove, I road passenger to the airport to pick up her sister, Julie, who was arriving from Shellie’s home state of Iowa.

For those of you that have not followed from the beginning, Julie was by Shellie’s side at the hospital the first several days she was in the ICU. Because the pain was so intense, the Lord has removed most memories of that week for Shells. Being a witness to their reunion this day was a beautiful experience! Their embrace at the airport was PURE LOVE!

Shellie and Julie had a great visit. Sisterly bonding, sweet moments with Abigail and Maddox, and even worshiping together at our church!

This week, Shellie went back to work!

Yes…I said it…our girl went BACK TO WORK less than 60 days from Day One!!!

As a reminder, Shells heads up the Special Education Department at Centennial High School, in Franklin. She was so grateful to receive a warm welcome and lots of hugs and love from her students and co-workers.

As these are the final words I will type regarding this journey, I am flooded with many memories of healing, praise, and love from the month of January. There were several visions that I could not shake at first…the scary ones that I prayed the Lord would cover. I’m overjoyed to say that those moments of fear and sadness have now been replaced with gratitude and joy!

The beautiful smile and glow of Shellie Rader has been restored…infact, she shines brighter than ever! Shellie IS LIVING her LIFE with her Loves-Chris, Abigail and Maddox and of course: JESUS by her side..
To witness a miracle of this magnitude…and to have it happen to a family that means the absolute world to me…that, my friends, the greatest gift of all!! Only Our God!! Our Awesome, Amazing, Loving, Unfailing, Faithful, Glorious, Perfect GOD!

Today’s Prayer:

Oh Lord YOU ARE SO GOOD!! We don’t even have words to convey our Love…our Joy!! We praise you in ALL things! We believe in YOU! We trust in YOU! We KNOW that you are ALWAYS with us. That you will NEVER leave or forsake us! To You We Give ALL The Glory…Forever and Ever!! Amen!

Joyful Joyful- Lord, We Adore Thee!!

I’m so thrilled to report that our girl is truly soaring toward fully restored physical health! By taking in long walks and light workouts with Chris, the past several days have lead to improved vision, strength and balance for Shellie!

Today, we went to what we believe will be her last CT appointment. Shells will review the results with her neurologist, Dr. Standard on Friday. Thursday morning we will head up to West Nashville for an EKG to confirm that her heart no longer shows any signs of damage or weakness! Continued prayers and praise are appreciated! As a reminder…Shellie is no longer taking any medication! AMAZING!

As far as her vision, Shellie is beginning to see single objects (rather than double), which is a total Praise!! Our AWEsome Lord has already healed our girl…her body is catching up daily. We look forward to Shells no longer having to wear her eye patch and getting back to driving in the very near future! She continues to remain patient though expectant and grateful!

This weekend was filled with delight and enjoyment for the Rader family. The kiddos were beyond excited to hang with their precious and fantastic baby sitter, Catherine for a few hours of fun and playtime! Chris and Shellie were treated to a celebratory evening out with dear friends Wes and Leah on Saturday, Worship with our amazing family at Grace Chapel and a Valentine’s double date with Jeremy and I! I remember looking at the four countertop chairs in our home during Shellie’s time at St. Thomas, and very much dreaming about the day that we would once again all be gathered together! Well, last night…it happened!! Being able to sit across from our dear friends and celebrate the journey, the future, and the Heavenly blessings of love, joy, and healing was beyond description!

Hard to believe that this time last month we were spending countless hours at St. Thomas. Today, we drove right past the hospital and smiled!

Onward and Upward Shellie Goes, Friends!! THAT’s The Miraculous Power of Our Amazing God!

Tonight's Prayer:
Father, we are astounded by Your unending love and power! You are so so good. All the time! We are full of joy to witness this miracle and pray for You to do MORE...MORE miracles Lord!! There is NOTHING You can't do!! We love You. We thank You! We Praise You in All Things!!! Amen!

Saturday Update- Day 32

It's been a week of Healing, Rest, and Joy!

The Raders enjoyed several visitors, many who brought delicious meals!
The family is so very grateful and continues to be blown away by the amount generosity and love being sent their way.
A highlight and heartfelt sweet surprise was time spent with their treasured and longtime friend Drew Cline, who was in town from Arkansas!
Thursday evening, Chris and Shellie visited a special prayer group from Grace Chapel. The men in this group came to the aid of the Raders in the very early ICU days at St. Thomas with prayer and also a contributed a very substantial donation! Chris and Shells were able to express their appreciation as well as receive the power of prayer once again from these amazing warriors!
We are all so truly blessed to have been so welcomed and loved by our incredible church family!
Shellie’s double vision is slowly but surely improving. It is clear to us that she has been healed…100%! Thank You Jesus!! Now, we just await her body to fully recognize the healing and our girl will once again be UNSTOPABLE!
Shellie received THE BEST news yesterday...
she is no longer required to take her anti-seizure medication, Keppra!
This is a huge milestone, as even through this medication has been excellent for prevention, it has made Shellie experience intense emotions and fatigue.
Bye Bye Keppra!
Praise God! Our Rockstar of a Miracle is no longer required to take or in need of any medication! Even more proof of the love, mercy, healing, and restoration that ONLY Jesus can bring!
Yesterday afternoon, after sweet Cathy left to head back home to Chris’ dad, Mike, I stopped by for a little visit with Shellie. I arrived around 1:45pm to find her cozy and relaxed on the porch. She was home alone for the first time since January 4th! Another exciting milestone! We enjoyed chai tea latte’s (her favorite) and talked through blissful tears as we basked in the sunshine of the day and the joy of her progress!
Tomorrow, our families will worship together at church for the first time since Chris was baptized on December 27th…we have so much celebrate!
Shellie will have her final CT and EKG on February 15th and 18th. The end of this journey is almost near, yet we are all so excited for what HE has in store in the future!

Tonight’s Prayer:
Thank you sweet Father for all the love, protection, and healing that You have brought to Shellie! We love You, praise You, and stand together in gratitude and awe of Your wondrous and perfect ways! Amen!
A Thoughtful Gift For Our Shells!

Tuesday Update- Day 28

It’s been a few days since I’ve posted about Our Miracle! I’m thrilled to report that Shellie is soaring to new heights of healing thanks to our Heavenly Father!

Although she continues to wear her eye patch to strengthen and re-align her vision, as well as take a daily dose of Keppra (anti-seizure medication), Shellie is very focused on her full and expectant recovery! We KNOW that Jesus is healing her vision RIGHT NOW! Thank you, Lord!

Shellie got to visit Charity, her sis-in law, at Palour 3 Salon to get some pampering on Friday and enjoy the company of some friends who came bringing yummy food throughout the weekend.

Shellie was so thrilled to return to Grace Chapel on Sunday for the first time since the Sunday before she was hospitalized. With Chris, his mom, sis Charity, Alana, and Jeremy by her side, she experienced a beautiful homecoming. Many friends from our sweet church family loved on The Raders! They joyfully worshiped and received Pastor Steve’s message: “So Loved-Part 2 Lavish Love”
If you want to KNOW how loved you are...watch this:

Following the Rader’s time at church, they celebrated at a favorite restaurant, Pueblo Real! A fun tradition that now has new meaning!

On Monday, I got to enjoy lunch out on the town with Shells and Alana. It was so wonderful being able to share highlights from the retreat I hosted over the weekend with the girls. The Rader family and this miraculous and inspiring story was very present at our {r}ise up retreat. Even through Shellie was unable to attend; we lifted her up the entire time in prayer and thanksgiving!

Following our lunch, we visited our friends at our local lululemon athletica, the BEST lifestyle apparel company EVER!! This company is geared toward community and spreading love and gratitude. It was amazing to witness Shellie get to choose a complimentary outfit gifted to from the managers of the store, Amy and Joe. The lulu crew wanted to celebrate her strength and recovery, and Shells was beaming from ear to ear! So much fun! So much joy!

Alana headed home today around noon and sweet Cathey is helping the Rader family this week as Chris is back to work full time.

Everyone is settling in to a “new normal” while beautiful healing takes place. Our girl will be back to full restored health in no time! We had medical professionals at the hospital telling us that she may suffer from lifelong headaches and have to be on long-term narcotics! NOPE…not our Shellie!! She’s got the love and healing of Jesus on her side!
We are SO close to reaching our goal of 25K!! When I first launched this page, I thought the amount I chose was unrealistic. It has been absolutely unbelievable to experience the LOVE and GENEROSITY from so so many! Our hearts are full and so in awe!

Let’s Do It Ya’ll!!
Calling EVERYONE to RISE UP FOR THE RADERS one more time so we can see this goal achieved!

Thank you all for your daily prayers, your continued generosity, and for sharing this story so that we can teach others about the Great Love of Our God!

Tonight’s Prayer:
Heavenly Father You are high and lifted up! We are amazed at Your awesomeness. We thank You for Shellie’s fully restored balance and vision. We thank You for letting so many experience Your perfect love and grace through this continued miracle. We thank You for all future miracles and healing to everyone that is seeking and in need. Amen!
