Black Entrepreneurs' Fund

$1,057 of $1,000 goal

The Black upStart "Black Entrepreneurs Incubator" is a nationally recognized business training program that unapologetically trains Black entrepreneurs to start job creating businesses.

We are saddened to learn of Nipsey Hussle's murder and are channeling our tears, anger and outrage into something positive! Nipsey Hussle supported the Black upStart's work via social media and regularly viewed our content.  In honor of his memory, we have launched a "Black Entrepreneurs' Fund" to fully fund tuition for Black entrepreneurs seeking to become Black employers,

$500 covers the cost of our incubator.

We want to fund four people!

100% of contributions will be used to sponsor the participation of low-income Black entrepreneurs or hustlers who want to build wealth for their families by starting a legitimate business.

You can learn more about us here: www.theblackupstart.com AND www.instagram.com/theblackupstart

Our incubator has trained entrepreneurs in DC, Brooklyn, Raleigh, Durham, Charlotte, Baltimore, Tulsa and recently we launched a popup school in Atlanta for Black entrepreneurs.

You can read about our work in Essence , Entrepreneur Magazine , Black Enterprise  or Blavity .

My name is Kezia Williams and I am the CEO of the Black upStart and I lead the Black Entrepreneurs' Bootcamp, which is an initiative of Capital Cause (a 501c3 nonprofit registered with the IRS).

One hundred percent (100%) of funds raised from this campaign will be used to fully fund tuition for entrepreneurs seeking to legitimize their hustle through admission to the Black Entrepreneurs Bootcamp. The Black Entrepreneurs Bootcamp teaches Black entrepreneurs how to start and scale a profit generating business that can generate employment for the Black community. We operate in seven markets and have trained 250 Black entrepreneurs to date.

The Black Entrepreneurs Fund was started in honor of Nipsey Hussle and hustlers like Jay-Z, Nas, Soulja Boy and Master P who began their business venture in the illegal economy and eventually made their hustle legit. Nipsey's death inspired us to want to provide an educational avenue for more entrepreneurs to make money legally.

The funds will be withdrawn on May 15, 2019, and deposited into Capital Cause's account. Your generous contribution will be used to help hustling entrepreneurs cover their tuition to enroll into the Black Entrepreneurs' Bootcamp powered by the Black upStart.

Though the fund was inspired by the murder of Nipsey Hussle and most importantly his work, this fund is not raising money for Nipsey Hussle's family. It is to honor his legacy and train other entrepreneurial soldiers like him and other hustlers who have started, scaled and profited from legitimate businesses.

The fund will be in honor of business people who started in hustle mode before legitimizing their enterprise.

Monday we'll make an announcement.
