Ridgewood Restoration

Due to the devastation of the recent flooding caused by hurricane Harvey, Christian Homeschool Educational Labs (CHSEL), Lighthouse Educational Services, Cornerstone Bookstore, and Lighthouse Sport Association (LHSA) have all lost the use of our host facility, Ridgewood Baptist Church in Pt. Arthur, TX.  Ridgewood experienced major flooding, and is now in the beginning stages of restoration.  The church was also the site of our homeschool sports association, Lighthouse Homeschool Sports Association(LHSA) and our girls volleyball season was just getting underway. We lost the gym floor, uniforms, sports equipment, clock and score equipment, as well as our season's supply of concessions.
     Although Ridgewood had some insurance coverage, it isn't sufficient to cover the amount of damages to the lower floor classrooms, Cornerstone homeschool bookstore, and gym. Our umbrella organization is called Southeast Texas Educational Partnership (STEP) and is the main hub of our operation which acts like an umbrella to cover the separate ministries of the co-op, bookstore, sports association, and Lighthouse Educational Services. STEP wishes to earnestly appeal to the larger homeschool community to please send help through donations to aid us in restoring all of our ministry opportunities to local homeschool families.  The task is overwhelming, but we know that we serve a faithful and generous Heavenly Father who will provide our every need through His people.  Thank you all so much for listening and hearing His prompting to assist us during this time!  The Body of Christ is an awesome force for good, and we are so blessed to be a part of it!  In Jesus' name and for His glory alone!
