Replace Stolen Football Equipment

This Summer the new recreation center on Ridge Road in SE DC opened its doors and welcomed the community.  For years Ridge Road has had a successful youth football program that has won titles but more importantly helped young boys become young men and escape the perils of the streets.  Their coaches challenge them athletically, socially, and most important academically by providing tutoring sessions in the new recreation center  With the opening of the new recreation center enrollment for football is at a high for this fall season.  New equipment was purchased, new uniforms ordered and the season has started off with victories and much success.


This past Labor Day weekend someone mercilessly vandalized the new recreation center and stole thousands of dollars of football equipment and other valuables.


We need your help TODAY.  Not to fix the damage done to the recreation center but to help us ensure that the dreams of these young boys who have worked so hard academically and physically to have a great football season don’t see it wasted because of the selfish act of a few individuals who attempted to  destroy their recreation center.
