This is what our 32-year-old son Ricardo posted upon receiving his cancer diagnosis:
"And the diagnosis is.... Hairy cell leukemia and its one of the most treatable leukemias. praise God! Thank you for all my family and friends for the support and prayers through this tough time. I still have a battle... But it sure is nice knowing what you're going up against. I love you all thank you and Thank you Jesus."
We are so proud of Ricardo meeting this adversity with faith and gratitude (and, of course, humor).
We are very relieved and grateful because we all know how harsh a leukemia diagnosis can be, and this is not so harsh-- Ricardo will be OK!!!
He will go through chemo, get better and be back to work in no time.
In the meantime, though, is a tough time to be going through.
We want to do all we can to help with the financial stress of lost work time and scary medical bills and it was suggested that you all might like to help too.
If so, that would be awesome!
God bless you and yours.
