Created February 10, 2018
Rick Muchow, a beloved husband, father, friend and former Worship Pastor of Saddleback Church (25 years) underwent brain surgery February 5, 2018. The biopsy revealed that he has a glioma (brain cancer) on the part of his brain that controls his hands and arms.

Your love, prayers, and emotional support mean the world to the Muchow family! If you are also able to offer financial support to help defray the cost of Rick's upcoming cancer treatment, your contribution - great or small - will provide medical and living expenses for their family and ensure the survival of this great man.

Any contributions over $100 will receive a limited edition vinyl release of his album "Healing Grace" (1998).

As the Worship Pastor at Saddleback Church, serving alongside Pastor Rick Warren, he has led worship for 20,000 attendees weekly, and has coached over 150,000 pastors and church leaders from 60 denominations from over 100 countries. Rick is a team member of the National Worship Leader Conference and represents Pro.Ultimate Ears for their house of worship division. Rick left his staff position at Saddleback Church March 2012 and since has been leading worship, coaching leaders, and writing articles. Rick serves on the board of the brand new worship and arts degree programat California Baptist University and is a professor there. More importantly, he is husband to Laura (34 years), father to Brandon (Abigail), Logan, Jordan, Megan, and Nolan, and dear friend to many.

Rick is a great encourager and pastor. His song "Trust God" says it all:

"Trust God from the bottom of your heart
Don't try to figure out everything on your own
Trust God for where your life is going
God is in control

Commit to the Lord whatever you do and your plans will succeed
Pray Lord I'm available to you, here I am Lord use me" 27641954_15182793740_r.jpeg27641954_15182793850_r.jpeg27641954_15182794060_r.jpeg27641954_15182794250_r.jpeg27641954_15182794530_r.jpeg27641954_15182795390_r.jpeg

From Rick Muchow:

Dear Friends,
Yesterday I met with a wonderful surgical team in Santa Monica. I have Grade 4 Glioblastoma. The surgeon recommends surgery next week and outlined a variety of possible treatments following surgery. We were treated with such kindness and compassion. Please continue to pray for me and my family as we prepare for the next step in this cancer journey. I’m feeling stronger everyday since the biopsy. Thank you for your prayers and the beautiful ways you have been expressing your love and support for the Muchow’s. We’ll stay in touch.
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9
