Rick Wershe Food Drive Summer 2018

Hello! We are again raising money to help feed the needy in Rick Wershe's old Detroit neighborhood. The area is one of the poorest in Detroit and the nation. There are a lot of families which could really use a helping hand. No one should go hungry, especially kids.

For those who are eager to lift Rick's spirits in some way, this is it. It brings him great joy in knowing he's helping the less fortunate. Please consider donating. Five bucks, ten, twenty, whatever you can afford. This is just one way in which Rick likes to use the attention his story has gotten as a way to help others. Rick plans to continue doing this after his release. Let's all hope that day comes soon!

100% of the money collected will be used to buy food which is catered to the needs of the families in
the community. We will be dropping off the food to Immanuel Lutheran Church (Harper & Dickerson) who will distribute it to the 80 families it's food pantry serves each month. The food we donate will be passed out just prior to the July 4th Holiday and possibly the following two months if we meet our goal.
