Tuition Fund Birthday Surprise

My friend Nick has been really stressed about money recently. He works almost every day as a lifeguard, and he is still worried that he cannot pay his tuition because he also has to pay for bills, food, rent, and the like. Unfortunately, he does not have an RESP. I have linked him to many scholarships and bursaries, but he did not get the small percentage of scholarships he was eligible for.

Nick is an exemplary student with a high GPA (he hasn't told me the exact number, but I know it's somewhere in the high Bs/low As range). He is an English major and History minor, and he's very passionate about his education. Nick has gone over the poems he's learning about in class with me numerous times, and I could tell he really loves what he's learning. He is also an extremely talented writer, and is currently working on a novel (or at least trying to, when he's not working as a lifeguard or going to class). 

I'm starting this gofundme so I could have a nice surprise for him for his birthday, which is on November 9th. I would be eternally grateful for your help and support, and I know that Nick would be as well.
